Regrets and living

April 25th, 2009

Does the fact you have no regrets mean you’re doing it right? Or does it mean that you’re not actually doing it at all? I just sometimes feel like I’m waiting for life to start. This kind-of means that I’m just wasting the time I have right now, which is, well wasteful (not to mention ungrateful), but I’m not sure how or where to start. I want to do something, something meaningful with my now. I guess that means I have to find some things to do. Some things that enrich my life.  Ideas?

I guess if I think back to the times in my life when I felt the most alive it was when I was doing something I wasn’t supposed to. Having sworn to try not to do that anymore, the times I‘ve next felt the most alive is getting to know someone new. I don’t know that getting to know tons of new people who make my tummy feel funny is any better than doing stuff I shouldn’t.  I recognise my own self-destructive behaviour fairly easily; doing something about it is another matter.

Being board is driving me insane. Absolutely insane.  Plus when I’m board I do silly stuff purely because I’m board. Like eating stuff I’m not even hungry for (good way to gain weight, and get unhealthy) or drinking for the sake of it. It’s ironic I got rid of the indifference I was feeling, only to replace it with this feeling of being stuck, and board. There’s a saying that goes “when a man is tired of London he is tired of life”, I don’t live in London, and I’m not tired of life but I really wish something would happen. Something that is both a nice thing and an exciting thing.

My nana got diagnosed with breast cancer this weekend. Another reminder that life is short and unexpected so I should go LIVE it. I think there’s a song by Tim McGraw that says “I hope you get the chance to live like you are dying”.  That’s how I wana live, like there will be no tomorrow, but I just don’t know how.

Home

April 25th, 2009

I went home for a few days during the holidays. I’m back now 2 days before school (uni) stars again but I sort of thought I shold add an update. The guy I wasn seeing/doing I saw before I left and i said goodbye and he pulled me into a deep and meaningful hug. I wondered  if he knew that when he huged me goodbye he was hugging me goodbye forever. I’m willing to put up with a lot, but we had reached the limit. It was goodbye to this part of our relationship or play by some new rules. Going home gave me the strenght to enforce the new rules, play my way or the highway, and for once I am ok with that.

The wise man learns from others mistakes, a smart man learns from his own mistakes, if Im not learing at all what does that make me?

The past week of my life I fucked up with bad choices. I say this from the position of calm clarity; knowing, understanding and accepting my decisions and being ready to move on. I turned 19 this week, I feel as if I should feel more mature and grown up. My week wasnt very mature tho. By the time I finished uni on Friday I needed a drink, which turned into half a bottle or so of vodka. Company then arrived home in the form of my fav gorgeous boy and out came the burbon. Went to a flat warming was smashed as.  had a great flatwarming party. Threw up one someones carpet, and feel asleep. The fact that I cant remember that I threw up, is scary, and very unsafe. Lucky for me I had one of ‘the crew’ with me. However when I came home the next morning my body had the shakes, the shakes you get when your bodies trying to process heaps and heaps of booze and failing. I turned out my pockets and had over 100 bux cash in them. Cash I didnt previously own and couldnt remeber aquiring – that was kinda my wake up call. That I needed to slow down.

I had a cold last week, due to the amount of pressure I keep putting on my body, ie excessive alcohol and Ive STILL got the silly thing.

Guess its time to slow down the dumb shit, and do more healthy stuff, like studying.

The start of my misadventure

March 9th, 2009

last week started a new year of uni. A new year, one where Im meant to be smarter, or at least to have learnt from last year. I guess Im just not very good at change tho. I was having a pretty amazing time, meeting heaps of neat new people and doing some new things too.

My problems started when I realised I was into this guy who lives in my hall of residence.  I liked him sha-zam, he liked me back ka-pow. we spent time together – neat-o, had some of incredable sex wo-hoo!!!!!!! he tried to get into my closest friend here, = not so great.

Now Im a fairly open minded gal. I think open realtionships are snazzy and I dont think sex needs to end in marrige. But Im fairly shaken up by the idea that this *wicked* guy tried to get into my best friend. I say shaken up because Im not hurting as such (you know when you feel like your hearts been torn out? not so much), Im not really angry (he didnt lie, or cheat on me ect) Im just shaken up. Im kinda grossed out by the idea he tried to do my friend. So my delima becomes, what do I feel, and more importantly what do I do? The sex was amazing, I could deffinitly go for some more of that, but I also kinda dnt wana go near someone who can do me, and then try doing my best mate???

Ideas suggestions and coments could be great about now.
